Two Indians arrested in the murder of another Indian in Philadelphia

Philadelphia Police arrested two Indian Americans in the murder of 31 year old Syambabu Thankappan, also an Indian American, last week.
Authorities say 34-year-old Prince Kunjappan-Joy and 51-year-old Abraham Thomas were arrested September 26 night and charged with the murder of Thankappan at the Castor section of Northeast Philadelphia.
Police provided the following report about the incident: On Wednesday, September 25th at approximately 10:57 P.M., Police responded to a shooting at Bradford Street. A 31 year old Indian male victim, later identified as Syambabu Thankappan, suffered gunshot wound to the stomach. He was transported to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital by Medic Unit and was pronounced dead on Thursday, September 26th, at 4:30 A.M.
The scene was held and arrest was made. The investigation is active and on-going with Homicide Detectives Division.
Kunjappan-Joy and Thomas were both charged with Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, Possessing Instruments of Crime, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, VUFA-No License and VUFA-On Street.
The funeral of Thankappan is scheduled for Saturday, October 5 in Philadelphia
