April 19 :
The United States has decided against sending election monitors to India, citing its policy of not doing so in the case of developed democracies.

It has not come to my attention that the US is sending observers. During his news conference on April 18, Vedant Patel, Deputy Spokesperson of the State Department, informed reporters that the United States typically does not do this with advanced democracies like India. Naturally, we are excited to keep working to fortify and expand our partnership with our Indian counterparts. "And we're simply going to watch the election unfold," he declared.

The idea that world leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, can help bring about peace in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine or the fighting in Gaza was appreciated by Patel, in answer to a query. We would certainly welcome any country that wants to use its voice to further discourage Russian aggression against the people of Ukraine, he added, adding that this was in relation to Russia and Ukraine.

Considering the current situation in Gaza, Patel stated that any country with the belief that it can positively contribute to the release of hostages, the entry of additional humanitarian aid into Gaza, and the defeat of Hamas is welcome and encouraged to do so.
