Search continues for missing pharmacist in Georgia

Family and friends are praying for the safe return of Alvin Rowson Ahmed, 25, who went missing from his pharmacy job at the Loganville Publix in Georgia on July 16.
Around 9 pm, Ahmed finished up some shopping for his mother and headed to his car that was parked at the top parking lot. He was seen on store video leaving the building, still wearing his pharmacy coat and carrying the groceries, according to local media reports. After that there was no information on him.
His car was located in the same parking spot the following day with his pharmacy coat and the groceries for his mother still inside it but no sign of Ahmed, Monroe Local News reported.
On July 20 community members gathered at Trinity Grace Church organized a candlelight vigil for Ahmed who was getting ready to begin a career as a full-time, qualified pharmacist with Publix.
Some of his co-workers wore shirts that read, #JusticeforAlvin. Loganville Mayor Rey Martinez spoke briefly, noting the size of the crowd who came to join the vigil.
Ahmed is described as being 5-feet-6-inches tall with a weight of around 140 pounds. He has brown eyes
Meanwhile, a man’s body was pulled from Lake Carlton two miles away from the grocery store two days after he went missing. Decomposition has made identification difficult, but authorities are looking into any connection with the missing person case.
While there are suspicious circumstances surrounding his disappearance, Loganville Police Department is urging the public not to draw any conclusion that could impede the investigation.
The family is offering a $5000 reward for information on the whereabouts of Ahmed.
His brother Kalvin Ahmed told spoke to Channel 2. ‘He graduated early from UGA, went to pharmacy school, and he studied for his exams. There was no reason for him to walk out.’
Ahmed was supposed to start as a full-time pharmacist next month, his brother said.
‘I refuse to believe that someone who was just about to successfully start the life that he worked so hard for would have it ended like that,” Kalvin Ahmed said in a search update on Facebook. “So please keep Alvin in your prayers... and keep your eyes open.’
