Graz (Austria), Aug 2: Ajax Amsterdam and Celtic advanced to the third round of the qualifiers for the 2018-2019 Champions League with victories against Sturm Graz and Rosenborg respectively.

The Dutch side, who went into Wednesday's second leg with a 2-0 advantage after the first leg in Amsterdam, prevailed 3-1 here on a brace by Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and a goal from Dusan Tadic, reports EFE news agency.

Ajax will face Standard Liege in the third round.

In Trondheim, a 0-0 draw was good enough for Celtic to move on by virtue of their 3-1 triumph in the first leg in Glasgow.

Next up for the Scottish club will be AEK Athens.

Malmö were held 0-0 at home by CFR Cluj on Wednesday, but won the first leg 1-0 and booked their spot in the third round, where they will face MOL Vidi, who defeated Ludogorets 1-0 on aggregate.

Red Star Belgrade dominated Suduva 3-0 on Wednesday to prevail 5-0 on aggregate. The Serbian side's opponent in the third round will be Spartak Trnava, who eliminated Legia Warsaw earlier this week.

Also headed for the third round are Dinamo Zagreb, Astana, Shkëndija, BATE Borisov, Qarabag and PAOK.
