Akshay Kumar Joins 'Swachhata Hi Seva' Movement Launched By Prime Minister Of India Narendra Modi

Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar, who is now known for his movies on pressing social issues, joined the 'Swachhata Hi Seva Movement' launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Launched in 2014 by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Swachh Bharat Mission aims at making a clean and Open Defecation Free (ODF) India by October 2, 2019.

The 'Gold' star took to Twitter to announce his participation in the movement and urged his fans to do their bit in keeping their neighbourhood clean. He tweeted, "Proud to join the #SHS2018 movement led by our Honourable Prime Minister Mr @NarendraModi. I urge all my followers to please come out on 15 September, clean their neighbourhoods, and do their bit for a @swachhbharat”

On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in the fourth installment of comedy franchise "Housefull" and 2.0 with Rajnikanth.
