3-year-old Indian child dies of heat inside a minivan
An Oldham County, Kentucky child found unresponsive in a van last month died from heat exposure, local reports sid.
The Jefferson County Coroner's office said 3-year-old Nishchay Patel died from hyperthermia. The boy was found unresponsive in a van outside the BAPS temple on Highway 1793 in Goshen on Aug. 12.
Nishchay was taken to Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville where he was pronounced dead.
No one has been charged in connection with Nishchay's death.
His family was at the BAPS Hindu Temple when his parents found him in a car in the parking lot.
Patel was rushed to Norton Children's Hospital, where he died around 5:10 p.m.
The child lived in Louisville.

We are focused on supporting his family through this tragic time, keeping them in our thoughts and daily prayers.
