Family-friendly event will raise funds for Education, Healthcare and Women Empowerment projects in rural India
PARAMUS, NJ, September 21, 2018—Share & Care Foundation will host its 36th Annual Fundraiser, “Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon” a grand musical event featuring the songs of the renowned lyricist and poet, Padma Bhushan Shri Javed Akhtar at 6.30 PM on Saturday, October 20, 2018. The event will be held at the Bergen Academies Auditorium, 200 Hackensack Ave, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Parking is Free.
“Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon” is an entertainment program conceived and created by Shri Javed Akhtar featuring his epic Bollywood Songs that are an integral part of Hindi cinema. These songs convey a myriad of emotions of love, friendship, happiness and sorrow and precious nuggets of philosophy. The famed lyricist will take us on a journey of how these songs were created, with anecdotes that regale, amuse and touch our heart. How Ek Ladki ko dekha to aisa laga from 1942 A Love Story was created, what was the situation that led to the song Ek Do Teen from Tezaab. What happened when Karan Johar first heard the words of the immortal Kal Ho Na Ho , how AR Rahman only starts working at 2 Am and and many more. Each song will have a unique story of its own.
He will be accompanied by two famous playback singers of Hindi Cinema, Jahnvi Shrimankar and Raman Mahadevan with four other talented musicians on keyboard, guitar, tabla and drums. So, brace yourself for an enchanting evening of lilting music, foot tapping rhythms and a journey down memory lane.
