No mention of S-400 missile deal in Modi, Putin remarks
New Delhi, Oct 5: The much-hyped S-400 Triumf air defence missile system deal that was expected between India and Russia did not find mention in the joint addresses to the media by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin following their annual bilateral summit here.
The deal was also not among the list of eight agreements that were signed following the talks.
The deal has been an issue of much speculation after US President Donald Trump's administration's law -- Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) -- came into effect in January.
CAATSA targets countries doing business with Russian, Iranian and North Korean defence companies.
