Fluminense to face Nacional in Copa Sudamericana quarters
Rio de Janeiro, Oct 5: Brazil's Fluminense beat Deportivo Cuenca 2-0 and qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2018 Copa Sudamericana football championship, where it will face Uruguay's National next.
Fluminense's first goal in Thursday's game came in the 33th minute thanks to Digao, reports Efe.
With fifteen minutes to go in the game, Richard pounced in a counter-attack shooting the 2nd goal to certify victory and qualification.
Cuenca, who were forced to come back from a 0-2 defeat at their stadium, did not come close to their opponents' goal on the pitch of the legendary Maracana stadium.
