12 killed in J&K accident

Jammu, Oct 6: Twelve people were killed and over a dozen injured when the driver of an overcrowded mini bus lost control of the vehicle and it plunged into a 200-feet deep gorge on the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Saturday, police said.
The accident took place at Kela Mod.
"Sixteen critically injured passengers have been evacuated from the accident site... Police, Army and civilians are engaged in the rescue effortS," police sources said.
