Gunmen kill civilian in Shopian
Srinagar, Oct 11: Unidentified gunmen on Thursday shot dead a civilian in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
Police identified the victim as Tariq Ahmed Ganai and said he was killed in Memender village.
"He was shot from close range outside his home. He succumbed to critical injuries on way to the hospital," a police officer said.
Reports from the area said the slain man was an activist of the separatist Hurriyat group.
