Militant killed in J&K gunfight

Srinagar, Oct 18 : A militant was killed in a gunfight with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said on Thursday.

On Wednesday evening, the police had set up a checkpost in Dougam village of Kakapora area.

"After some militants passed through the area, a brief gunfight started. The slain militant has been identified as Showkat Ahmad Bhat of Awantipora," the police added.
