10% upper caste quota bill gets President's nod
New Delhi, Jan 12 President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday approved the Constitution (One Hundred and Third Amendment) Act, 2019 that provides 10 per cent reservation to poor general category people in education and government jobs.
The Act amends Articles 15 and 16 of the Constitution to provide quota to the general category people with a family income of up to Rs 8 lakh per annum.
