600 attend candle light vigil led by FIA to pay tributes to Pulwama martyrs

A candle light vigil was organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) and other organizations to pay tributes to the CRPF personnel, who became martyrs in a bomb attack in Pulwama in Kashmir, at the Royal Albert’s Palace, February 21. More than 600 people attended the solemn event.
North American community of Indian Origin which included majority of organizations of the Indian diaspora came together to hold a candlelit vigil in the Royal Alberts Palace sponsored by the Federation of Indian Associations (NY NJ & CT).
The somber tribute included a flower filled memorial. Jaideep Chola, head of chancery at the Indian Consulate, Mayor John McCormac of Woodbridge, Councilwoman Nancy Drumm and Alok Kumar, president-FIA NY NJ CT spoke. The event was open for all to pay their respect to the memorial banner and was concluded with the candle light vigil.
Several organizations joined the event including Bihar Jharkhand Association of North America (BAJANA), Indian Cultural Association of NJ (ICS Union), Asian American Chamber of Commerce (AICC), Telangana American Telugu Association (TATA), Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), Telugu Association of North America (TANA), SKN Foundation, American Telugu Association (ATA), Gujarati Samaj of Delaware Valley, Federation of Kerala Association of North America (FOKANA), Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP), Federation of Indian Seniors Association of North America (FISANA), BAPS Temple-Edison, Gayatri Temple Piscataway and Siddhivinayak Temple of Toms River.
