Nafees Rahman contests as Village president of Schaumburg, Il
Nafees Rahman is contesting for Village President of Schaumburg, Il, and Dhitu Bhagwakar runs as Village Trustee along with Rocco Terranova.
Voting is on April 02. Till April 1, early voting is available.
‘Diversity is what makes our community unique. It is time for everyone to have a voice in how our village Operates and spends our tax dollars,’ Nafees Rahman said.
The team promises to eliminate unnecessary spending
• Cut 5% or $12.5 million in spending across the board excluding public safety (police & fire)
• Reduce the number of employees through attrition and retirement
• Explore privatization of non-essential services for cost savings
• Eliminate redundant services offered by other governments

Decrease or Significantly Reduce the Tax Burden
• Lower the municipal property tax portion of a homeowner’s tax bill
• Eliminate the real estate transfer tax to make our community more attractive to buyers
• Review all taxes and fees charged by the village
