SC junks plea against poll observers' appointment in Bengal
New Delhi, May 21: The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a plea challenging appointment of two retired bureaucrats as special observers in West Bengal in the just held general elections.
A vacation bench, headed by Justice Arun Mishra, refused to entertain the petition, saying: "The election is already over. We don't want to interfere."
The apex court, however, allowed petitoner Ramu Mandi, an independent candidate from Barackpore in West Bengal, to move the Calcutta High Court
