New Jersey Indian charged with luring, sexual assault and attempted endangering of a child
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of KASHMIR SINGH (DOB: 9/8/1976; single; and employed as a ride-share driver) of 139 Donor Avenue, Elmwood Park, NJ on the charges of Luring, Attempted Sexual Assault, and Attempted Endangering The Welfare Of A Child.
Beginning on Thursday, May 16, 2019, members of the Bergen County
Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit engaged in online conversations with Kashmir Singh who believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old girl. During the exchanges, Singh arranged to meet with the girl to engage in sexual
intercourse. On Friday, May 17, 2019, believing he was meeting with the girl, Singh drove to a location in Paramus where he was apprehended by detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit.
Following his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in
Hackensack on May 22, 2019, SINGH was remanded to the Bergen County Jail.
