Registration for 54th, 55th & 56th Know India Programme (KIP)
Know India Programme abbreviated as KIP is a government initiative by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, for the Indian diaspora between the age group of 18 to 30 years. It was launched on 8 January 2004, on the occasion of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in New Delhi. The purpose of the Know India Programme is to help Persons of Indian Origin youths familiarize with their roots and contemporary India and provide them an exposure to the country of their origin.
Non Resident Indians are not eligible for KIP. The programme is open to youth of Indian origin (excluding non-resident Indians) in the age group of 18-30 years. The applicant should not have participated in any previous KIP or Internship Programme for Diaspora Youth (IPDY) Study India Programme of MEA or any other programme organized and paid for by the Ministry of External Affairs and any other Ministry/Department in Government of India or a State Government in India. Those who have not visited India before will be given preference.

When filing the KIP application form, the applicant should indicate preferences for any of the three KIPs. Printed and signed application along with passport size photograph and Declaration form (in case of not holding PIO/OCI cards) which may be downloaded from the KIP portal under 'Download' section, should be submitted to:
