Priyanka congratulates women hockey team for FIH Series win
New Delhi, June 24: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Monday congratulated the Indian women hockey team for winning the International Hockey Federation (FIH) series, saying that the country is proud of them.
"Congratulations to Indian Women Hockey team for winning the FIH series. The country is proud of you. I wish all the players for bright future ahead," she tweeted.
The World No. 9 Indian women's hockey team on Sunday won the FIH Women's Series Finals Hiroshima 2019 and had qualified for FIH Olympic 2019 after defeating hosts Japan 3-1 in the final held at the Hiroshima Hockey Stadium in Japan.
