Equity indices open in green
Mumbai, Dec 6: The key Indian equity indices opened on a positive note Friday, tracking gains in the major Asian markets.
At 9.36 a.m., the BSE Sensex was trading at 40,893.60, higher by 114.01 points or 0.28 per cent from the previous close of 40,779.59 points. It has so far touched an intra-day high of 40,952.13 and a low of 40,855.41 points.
The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 12,042.65, higher by 24.25 points or 0.20 per cent from its previous close.
The Asian stock markets rose after US President Donald Trump said that trade talks with China are "moving right along", analysts said.
