BJP reappoints Maratha face Chandrakantdada Patil as Maha chief
New Delhi, Feb 13: The BJP has kept status quo in its Maharashtra unit with party president J.P. Nadda reappointing Chandrakantdada Patil as it's Maharashtra unit chief.
Nadda has also made no changes in the Mumbai unit leadership by reappointing Mangal Prabhat Lodha.
Patil is the Maratha face of BJP in the party. Patil comes from Kolhapur and has been a minister in the Devendra Fadnavis cabinet. He is used organisationally to counter NCP in western Maharashtra.
The order of appointment was issued by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh, who mentioned the appointments are applicable with immediate effect.
