CNG, PNG prices to be reduced in Mumbai area

The Mahanagar Gas (MGL) has decided to cut prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) and domestic piped natural gas (PNG) in the Mumbai region from April 4/5 midnight, according to an official here on Saturday.
The price of CNG will be reduced Rs 2 per kg and PNG Rs 1 a kg as the government has lowered the domestically produced natural gas rates.
The new delivered, all-inclusive, prices of CNG will be Rs 47.95 a kg and Rs 29.60 a kg in slab 1 and Rs 35.20 a kg in slab 2 for PNG.
With the new prices, MGL's CNG offers around 55 per cent and 28 per cent savings compared with petrol and diesel, respectively.
