New York: The community is upset that Air India will not provide any food or entertainment at the special flights scheduled to evacuate Indians from the US.
About 15,000 people have registered with the Indian Embassy to return to India. There will be seven flights to Mumbai and Delhi in the first phase.--two flights each from New York, Chicago and San Francisco and one flight from Washington, DC.

Air India charges a flat rate for tickets, which is also more than the market rates. Economy - $1360; Business - $3500; First - $5600.

All seats will be occupied; no social distancing.

The Embassy’s notice says that there will be no in flight service. 2 one litre water bottles to be placed on each seat and will pick up food packets while boarding.
No in-flight entertainment. Mask and PPE to be provided to all and have to be mandatorily used.
