Pennsylvania Supreme Court rejects Republican claim

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled against Republican Party, which alleged the election monitors were not given sufficient access to view the vote counting in Philadelphia, the Inquirer reported.
The Supreme Court overturned a lower court decision which allowed monitors to be allowed within six feet of tables where ballots were being tallied.
The Supreme Court in a majority decision (5-2) said the Philadelphia Board of Elections complied with the rules. ‘We found the board’s regulations were reasonable,’ Justice Debra Todd, who wrote for the majority, said.
Chief Justice Thomas Saylor and Justice Sallie Updyke Mundy dissented.
The ruling came even as Trump campaign attorneys were pressing the issue in a federal court in Williamsport, asking a judge to bar the state from certifying the vote, according to the Inquirer.
