FOMAA L.i.F.e leaps into action; securing legit immigrants' hope for the New Congressional Year!

The immigration advocacy initiative of FOMAA, the "Association of Associations of Malayalee Diaspora", swung into their first action item of the year' grassroots advocacy by organizing an immigration update, after the S386/HR1044 era. The virtual seminar over Zoom simultaneously broadcasted vide multiple SM platforms was well received by attendees from across the varied, diverse Indian diaspora.

On an apprising note, the event took off with pleasantries from the moderator Mr. Sudheep Nair, Jt. Secretary of L.i.F.e.; invited the newly inducted respected FOMAA Gen. Secretary to address the audience. Shri. Unnikrishnan assertively expressed the vision & commitment of FOMAA leadership on the objective of L.i.F.e. Appreciating the affirmative advocacy L.i.F.e contributed in the erstwhile congressional year, Mr. Unnikrishnan candidly stated that legit immigration is the way forward for America and FOMAA fervently will lead in representing the burning causes of the diaspora.
Shri. Girish Sasankasekhar, L.i.F.e General Secretary, spoke on the organization’s action plans of 2021, expressing congratulations to our incoming Administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, emphasizing hope upon the advocacy edge the institution garnered so far. Strengthened with our established relationships with the Honorable Congressional leaders, L.i.F.e will be focusing on advocacy efforts to include provisions in comprehensive immigration reform to protect families impacted by GC backlog. FOMAA L.i.F.e is open to collaborate with all stakeholders who are committed to our cause - Mr. Girish promised. Mr. Jose Abraham, the previous Service terms' General Secretary who is credited with founding L.i.F.e, would be shouldering the congressional liaison & advocacy responsibilities for our community.
Finding unfavorable environment in domestic US immigration, the youngsters in the Indo-US tech industry are exploring new pastures in Canada. Identifying this service scope, to assist these young Indian expats FOMAA is exploring endorsing genuine immigration consultants that members could obtain validated and vetted assistance. Further, Mr. Girish, joyfully announced the endorsement secured from esteemed immigration Attorney Stephanie Scarborough Esq., who will lead and mentor the institution in the congressional advocacy perspectives. As well the relationship will serve the community both in terms of services as well economic savings. While addressing the session Esq. Scarborough, offered preferred privileges that includes 20% of attorney fees & free consulting favoring L.i.F.e referrals. Her firm practices law in Employment & Family-based immigration, Business Law, and Estate Planning domains. During the 2 hour-long session Esq. Scarborough, principal attorney herself extended goodwill in answering many questions related to personal immigration hassles faced by community members.
The session delivered yesterday was systematically coordinated by Regional Leads – Manju Suresh, Shelly Nelson, Cijith Sreedharan, Lekha Vijayan, Subin Raju, Unnikrishnan Nair representing each American States along with L.i.F.e national coordinator Vishakh Cherian.
