Workers in Mumbai film industry to get vaccinated

In an effort to help workers in the Mumbai industry, members of the film fraternityare coming forward with a special drive. Filmmakers Rajkumar Hirani and Karan Johar, along with producer Mahaveer Jain, have joined hands to launch a vaccine drive for the workers of the entertainment industry.

"We are humbled to get the front line workers of the Media and entertainment industry vaccinated in our free Vaccination drive under Change Within initiative in association with Art of Living and Zerodha. We have tied up with Apollo Hospitals to follow all the Cowin protocols. Our only desire is Phir Muskuraye India,” said Nikhil Kamath, Co-founder Zerodha and Producer Mahaveer Jain, reports said on Friday.

Change Within, a social interface of the film fraternity, had initiated a campaign called ‘I Stand With Humanity’ along with the Art of Living and had helped around 25 lakh daily wage earners and their families with ration kits and food packets. Members of the fraternity like Sanjay Dutt, Kapil Sharma, Bhumi Pednekar, Aanand L Rai, Dinesh Vijan and Sonakshi Sinha had participated in this initiative. Meanwhile, Yash Raj Films aims to vaccinate 30,000 registered members of the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees). Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has also held a vaccination drive to inoculate over 500 employees and their families of his company.
