Tana (telugu Association Of North American) Celebrated Bathukamma Festival At Time Square With Nyc Mayor Eric Adams, Movie Pushpa Fame Ansuya Bharadwaj And Deputy Commissioner Dilip Chauhan

Times Square, the world-famous commercial spot and tourist destination in the Midtown Manhattan section of New York City, was on October 8th, 2022 witness to a never-seen-before scale of Bathukamma festivities. Hosted by the Telugu Association of North America (TANA), it was a celebration to remember.

It's a matter of pride for all Telugus that a Telugu cultural and religious event was held at a world-famous intersection in the grandest manner. A 20-ft golden Bathukamma was the centre of attraction, with its larger-than-life aura wowing the onlookers.

New York City Mayor Hon. Eric Adams , grace the occasion and handed over a proclamation to the organizers as a sweet gesture.He gave his remarks and encouragement to do such events in future.

Dilip Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner for New York City attended the event, Also TANA President thanked Mayor Eric Adams and Deputy Commissioner Dilip Chauhan for their continuous support to TANA, along with them Pushpa Fame Actress Ansuya Bhargava as well as Singer Mangli graced the event with full spirit and thousands of people attended this event.

Anjaiah Chowdary Lavu, the President of the TANA, stated that the credit goes to TANA's former President Jay Talluri and Sirisha Tunuguntla (TANA Cultural Services Coordinator) played a key role in hosting the event successfully. Dilip Chauhan has been great for the asian community in New York. Their presence and support boosted moral of the event.

Jay Talluri and team drew applause for the way they pulled off the stunning event at Times Square, where it's not easy to get permission to hold a public event. TANA's local leadership from New York and New Jersey supported and participated.

American citizens who graced the event participated in the cultural fest with enthusiasm and danced to the Bathukamma folk music.

During the program Actress Ansuya Bharadwaj and Singer Mangli mesmerize the audience with their talents. New York's Mayor Eric Adams along with Actress Ansuya and Deputy Commissioner Dilip Chauhan was seen doing the hand gesture striking the iconic “Jhukega Nahi’ pose during an event during the festival of Bathukamma.
