March 25 :
On March 25, Eric Garcetti, the US ambassador to India, posted well wishes for the Holi celebration on the social media site X, formerly known as Twitter. Garcetti gave a brief account of his enjoyable first-time celebration of the vibrant event in India.

In addition to highlighting the merging of customs and the close relationship between India and the United States, Garcetti expressed his delight at being a first-hand participant in this cultural spectacular.

"Sending #HappyHoli wishes to all!" Garcetti wrote in his post on social media. Savouring delicious gujiyas cooked with American nuts for my first Holi in India—a beautiful fusion of traditions and a celebration of #USIndiaDosti! "I've been to vibrant Holi celebrations in Los Angeles, but nothing beats being here in India for this vibrant festival," he continued. #CelebrateWithUs.

A video featuring the US envoy sending heartfelt wishes to all Holi celebrants accompanied his speech. "I'd want to wish a very happy Holi to all of you. We have these stunning gujiyas with a hint of Americana thanks to the addition of pistachios and lovely rose water. "Celebrating Holi together across the Indo-Pacific region is the best way to express gratitude," Garcetti declared, holding up the unique Gujiyas with an American twist.

Along with the celebrations, the US embassy in India sent out "Holi Hai!" greetings to all Indians during Holi. Under the hashtag #USIndiaDosti, they pledged to maintain the Holi mood all year long and promote closer ties between the two countries, praising the lively environment and contagious laughter at the embassy's Holi event.

Ambassador Garcetti officially opened the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Taste of America Booth at Bharat Mandapam earlier in March. The booth presented a diverse selection of mouthwatering delicacies, including sandwiches made with duck and turkey, and the beloved Holi festival favorite, Gujiya. This traditional treat was uniquely infused with the rich flavor of US pecans, adding a delightful twist to its classic taste.
