Amul, a well-known Indian dairy brand, is teaming up with the Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA), the tenth-largest dairy cooperative in the US, to broaden its product options in the US. Millions of Americans will be able to enjoy branded fluid milk products thanks to an agreement inked between MMPA and the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Limited (GCMMF), the owner of Amul.

Amul will be able to sell fluid milk in specialty stores across the Midwest and East Coast using MMPA's caseless milk packaging design and their own fluid milk technology. The brands are Amul Gold, Amul Shakti, Amul Taaza, and Amul Slim n Trim, and the fat levels are 6%, 4.5 percent, 3.25%, and 2%, respectively.

India is home to Amul, a milk and dairy product manufacturer that ships its wares to over 50 nations, the United States included. It generates over $10 billion yearly and is one of the fastest-growing dairy brands in the world, in addition to being India's biggest consumer products company.

Both the US and Indian dairy farmer members would reap the benefits of the relationship, according to Joe Diglio, president and CEO of the MMPA. By leveraging Amul's cutting-edge technology, MMPA's expanding product line would be further improved through their strategic relationship, he said.

According to a press release, the partnership combines the distinctive technological capacities and top-notch member milk of MMPA with the quickly expanding and renowned worldwide reputation of the Amul brand for superior dairy products. In addition, the agreement solidifies the brand's long-standing connection to Michigan. A graduate of Michigan State University, Dr. Verghese Kurien is a founding chairman of GCMMF and a well-known figure in India's dairy business. Kurien is also known as the milkman of India.

The 108-year-old dairy cooperative MMPA is an esteemed partner, and we are delighted to join forces with them. "This association will ensure that all our American and Indian consumers will nourished and energised with the goodness of Amul Milk," said Dr. Jayen Mehta, managing director of Amul. For all intents and purposes, this marks the global debut of Amul fresh milk. It is our utmost delight to share the flavour of India with the world, in keeping with the goal of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi to establish Amul as a prominent dairy brand on a global scale," he continued.
