A new worldwide network for persons of Indian descent to be launched by GOPIO

At a recent meeting in Edison, New Jersey, members of the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO), an international network of PIO, deliberated the establishment of the GOPIO Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) central Jersey chapter.
The organisation chose to relaunch the chamber during the upcoming New Jersey conference, set for Apr. 26-28, after having to modify its name from GOPIO International Chamber of Commerce (GICC) to GCCI. The Global Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has already set up chapters in New York with the goal of connecting more than five million small businesses and professionals around the world.
Present at the gathering in New Jersey were Dr. Thomas Abraham, chairman of GOPIO International, Prakash Shah, co-convener of the convention, and an unnamed international coordinator-at-large. Prof. Asha Samant, who serves as an independent global coordinator Kunal Mehta, community leader and businessman Pradeep Kothari, Sunil Hali, owner of Radio Zindagi and publisher of Indian Eye, Nami Kaur, Pallavi Belwariar, and GOPIO-Edison also made an appearance. Assemblyman Sterley Stanley of New Jersey was a distinguished speaker who spoke highly about the GOPIO Chamber of Commerce and the GOPIO Convention 2024.
