The US-based Odia community observes Utkal Diwas festivities in New York.
April 8 :
On April 5, 2024, hundreds of Odias celebrated Utkal Diwas at the Indian Consulate in New York. This event was co-ordinated by the Indian Consulate and the Odisha Society of North America.
Swami Sarvapriyananda of Vedanta New York was the Chief Guest at the occasion, and the Indian Consulate took to X (previously Twitter) to express its gratitude for his attendance.
The Indian Minister of Education and Skill Development, Dharmendra Pradhan, and the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, were both thanked by the Consulate for their remarks.
