Indian Election: OFBJP Holds Sacred Prayers for Modi and BJP’s Success

Under the direction of OFBJP President Dr. Adapa Prasad, volunteers from all over the United States performed havan rites to ask for God's favour in the current general elections, hoping that it would bring victory to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On April 28, 2024, the Sudarshana Homam took place at Essex, New Jersey's Sri Shiva Vishnu Temple, Sai Datta Peetham.

The OFBJP press statement highlighted that the homam is a solemn and complex ritual that seeks to invoke divine energies for safety, wealth, and enlightenment. Participants invoked Lord Sudarshana's cleansing and protection powers by reciting the Sudarshana Mantra during the ritual.

At the homam, hundreds of people showed their support for Modi and the BJP.

Prasad lauded the OFBJP volunteers for their work in arranging the homams, saying that the religious ceremonies were a powerful symbol of the community's resolve to back the BJP's agenda for an economically flourishing India under Modi's leadership. Noble Peace Prize laureate Along with Dr. Sudhir Parikh, the event was graced with the presence of Parikh Worldwide Media and ITV Gold chairman, a resident of Edison, NJ.

According to Krishna Reddy, the BJP and Modi would win the elections handily if they had supernatural intervention. Charan Singh emphasised the substantial backing from the non-resident Indian community. For the benefit of people all across the world, including in India, Kalpana Shukla lauded Modi's ceaseless endeavours.

According to Deep Bhatt, the enthusiasm of the younger generation to back Modi is palpable. The campaign was drawing thousands of people to India, as pointed out by Santosh Reddy. Vilas Reddy said it was a concerted effort to show support for Prime Minister Modi's BJP and their shared goal of a crushing electoral triumph.

There were several notable members of the Indian diaspora in New Jersey who attended and helped out at the event, including Dr. Parikh, Jayesh Patel, K Narula, Maa Rajyalaxmi, Harry Sethi, Madhukar Reddy, Srikanth Reddy, Sanil, Gopi, and Ganesh R. Govindraj.
