June 29 :
Jones Beach State Park will host this year's Independence Day (July 4) fireworks display, according to New York Governor Kathy Hochul. The governor made the announcement in a statement saying the Jovia Financial Credit Union Fireworks Spectacular, which features a display by Garden State Fireworks, will begin at 9:30 p.m. (local time) and continue for 25 minutes.

Hochul invited everyone to come together under the Fourth of July fireworks to celebrate the 248th birthday of our nation, the centennial of our state parks, and the 95th birthday of Jones Beach. I think New Yorkers would enjoy everything that our state parks have to offer, including our annual fireworks display over Jones Beach, which is a wonderful summer tradition.

The importance of this year's event was emphasized by Randy Simons, the protempore commissioner of New York state parks. Celebrating our centennial as a park system makes this year very meaningful. "Fireworks on the beach would be the perfect way to celebrate our centennial and Independence Day," Simons added. Sponsored by Jovia Financial Credit Union, the event is made possible with significant sponsorship from the following organizations: J & B Restaurant Partners, Connoisseur Media Long Island, Newsday, Foundation for Long Island State Parks Inc., and the Natural Heritage Trust.

"Being a part of our community at Jovia isn't just about living and working here on Long Island; it's about making contributions and celebrating unity," stated Renu Dalessandro, chief marketing officer of Jovia Financial Credit Union. For the fourth year running, Jovia Financial Credit Union Fireworks Spectacular at Jones Beach has the privilege of being named headline sponsor.

David Bevins, chief operating officer of Connoisseur Media, was proud of the occasion. The display will shine a light into the night sky and into the souls of everyone who witness it. Keeping the tradition of the show's soundtrack simulcast on WALK 97.5 and KJOY 98.3 alive is our hope, according to Bevins, so that people of all ages and backgrounds can come together in celebration. During the event, WALK 97.5 FM and KJOY 98.3 FM will be simulcasting music. The standard entry to the park is $10 per vehicle, and there is no extra price for the fireworks display.
