Wisconsin, July 6 :
US President Joe Biden has made it clear that he intends to continue running for president and is confident in his ability to defeat Trump. Concerns over his performance in last week's debate versus Trump prompted his statement.

You may have heard that I had a small debate last week," Biden told his Madison supporters. I wouldn't call it my best performance, but everyone has been wondering, "What's Joe going to do?" ever since. Is he planning to continue running? Who knows what he'll do if he doesn't finish? Here is my response, then. This time I will win. I am running.

The president of the United States reportedly told NBC News that he feels like he's being undercut in his campaign. He said, "Let me say it as clear as I can: I'm staying in the race!" He went on to say, "I'll beat Donald Trump." Before seemingly correcting himself, Biden stated, "We're going to do it again in 2024." He had already claimed that he would defeat Trump in 2020.

After saying, "I learned long ago, when you get knocked down, you get back up," Biden went on to say that he would not allow a 90-minute debate to derail his achievements over the previous 3.5 years. The comments were made by US President Joe Biden at a time when he is being urged to withdraw from the presidential race. In order to demonstrate his competence to serve a second term, Biden, according to Democratic allies, must campaign more actively. Biden poked light at Trump's own clumsiness in public speaking as he began his speech. In his re-election campaign, he also addressed the topic of his age, which NBC News said is a major worry for voters.

The idea that I'm too elderly to make Roe v. Wade applicable nationwide is absurd. Again, you believe I'm too elderly to outlaw assault weapons? To safeguard Medicare and Social Security?" he asked in a series of question and answer sessions, to which the audience erupted in a thunderous "No!"

Even the question of whether he was too elderly to unseat Trump was posed to the crowd. Biden responded to the audience's repeated cries of "No!" by saying, "I can hardly wait." Trump is 78 years old, whereas Biden will end his second term at 86 years of age. Biden is currently 81 years old. Nonetheless, polls show that people are more worried about Biden's age.

Some 74% of Americans thought Biden was too elderly to be vice president, according to a post-debate poll by the New York Times/Siena. Biden utilized rhetoric from Trump's past debate and campaign speeches to criticize the president in his speech. Trump, he claimed, "has the morals of an alley cat" and is "a one-man crime wave," as reported by NBC News.

At a press conference earlier this week, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said "absolutely not" in response to a question on whether or not President Joe Biden was considering resigning. A New York Times (NYT) article states that after what has been characterized as a disastrous performance in Atlanta, worries over Biden's candidacy are growing.

On Wednesday (local time), Jean-Pierre praised President Biden's recent interactions with supporters, saying that his record and achievements should not be disregarded despite his struggles. There was a chance for him to address his followers. At this stage, he has done it twice and described the events of that night, explained his understanding, and admitted that it was not his finest performance. During her remarks to reporters at the White House, she assured them that he is aware that their question is reasonable.

"We must not overlook the president's record and the things he has accomplished," Jean-Pierre continued, highlighting the president's accomplishments. We will never forget his nearly four years of service to the American people. That is also important. When it comes to administration and contemporary politics, he has the longest record.

There has been and will be much discussion and analysis of the president's performance and agenda moving forward, and the remarks from the press secretary reflect that. In light of his dismal showing in the presidential debate, President Biden has reportedly confided in a trusted ally about his thoughts of staying in the race, according to the New York Times article.
