Trump was attacked at Pennsylvania rally; injury on face
Butler, Pennsylvania: Former President Donald J. Trump collapsed on stage after what appeared to be sound of gunshots. Immediately, Secret Service agents secured him on the stage and escorted him out.
As he left the stage, the former president raised his hand to the crowd as a show of strength.
The noise started at 6:13 p.m. Trump appeared clutching his ear, which appeared to be bleeding, as he left the stage. Blood ran down his face.
It is not clear what happened. It is suspected that someone shot. Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung later announced that Trump was checked out at a hospital and he was fine. He also thanked the police.
According to the New York Times report, one person was injured by a bullet that hit the venue. Journalists were removed from near the venue. It was marked as a crime scene.
Praying for President Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson wrote in a social media post.
Possible VP candidates, Senators Marco Rubio and JD Vance, and South Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, said they were praying for the former president and rally attendees.
President Biden, who was returning from church, said he had not received any briefing on what happened at the rally
