Biden to Resume Campaigning Next Week, Criticizes Trump's RNC Speech as 'Dark Vision
Delaware, July 20 :
llegedly describing Donald Trump's RNC speech as a "dark vision for the future," US President Joe Biden has promised to return to campaigning next week in an effort to "save democracy," according to The Hill.
It is worth mentioning that Biden has been avoiding public attention at his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, residence since Wednesday, when he tested positive for COVID-19 while campaigning in Las Vegas. In a statement, Biden claimed that Trump's Thursday night RNC speech was all about him and his problems and that he had no intentions to improve the lives of working people.
Just four years ago, the American people rejected Donald Trump. Last night, they saw the same Donald Trump. On Friday, Biden stated that Trump had spent more than 90 minutes airing his grievances without offering any solutions to bring the country together or improve the lives of working people. Despite mounting calls for the president to withdraw from the contest, he maintained that he would once again defeat Trump in November.
In a joint statement urging the president to withdraw his reelection effort, four House Democrats published a statement on Friday, and Senator Martin Heinrich became the third Democratic senator to call for Biden to step aside, amplifying the calls from Democratic members.
"Donald Trump's bleak vision for the future does not reflect who we are as Americans," Biden stated in a statement. It was claimed by The Hill that if the party and the country work together, they will be able to beat him in the election.
He added, "I look forward to getting back on the campaign trail next week to continue exposing the threat of Donald Trump's Project 2025 agenda while making the case for my own record and the vision that I have for America: one where we save our democracy, protect our rights and freedoms, and create opportunity for everyone." Following in the footsteps of his campaign chair, Jen O'Malley Dillon, Biden once again claimed that Trump "avoided mentioning his Project 2025 agenda, but still proudly flaunted the worst of MAGA extremism" during the former president's speech at Thursday night's convention.
According to O'Malley Dillon, Trump completely avoided bringing up Project 2025. According to The Hill, the Trump campaign has made strong efforts to separate themselves from the contentious conservative policy agenda put out by the Heritage Foundation, while the Biden campaign has taken the opposite tack.
In a stirring speech delivered Thursday night local time at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, former US President Donald Trump launched his presidential candidacy. It was time to stop focusing on bringing America greatness back, Trump declared, and then he slammed the Democrats for persistently pursuing him and his family.
"America First, Put an End to the Subpoenas!"Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi issued numerous subpoenas to Don and others. This is hurting our country, so they need to stop it. The focus should be on restoring America's greatness, not on retaliating against individuals. We were successful in preventing charges and impeachments, but the time that was squandered is detrimental. His main point was that the United States would be in a far better position if that energy had been directed toward beneficial causes.
While addressing the Republican cadre, Trump gave his endorsement to JD Vance, the senator from Ohio and Trump's running mate. In his acceptance speech, Trump promised to serve as president for all Americans.
There is no victory like winning for all of America, which is why I am running for president, not just for half of America. In light of this, I humbly and wholeheartedly accept your nomination for president of the United States tonight. In four months, we will achieve a remarkable triumph. For all people, of all faiths and no faith, we shall usher in a new age of peace and plenty. "There is no victory by half," Trump declared, adding that he would be president of the entire country and not just a portion of it.
