$12 Million Raised by West Coast Donors as Former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Welcomes Harris Home

August 12 :
At a California fundraiser that took place on August 11, which was the last stop on Vice President Kamala Harris' and her running mate's swing state trip, former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi argued for Harris' presidential campaign, which raised millions of dollars. In San Francisco, Pelosi made an appearance alongside the Democratic presidential candidate at an event that, according to Harris's team, raised over $12 million.

Ex-U.S. senator, attorney general, and district attorney Kamala Harris returns home to California, and Pelosi says, "This is a good day when we welcome her back home to California." She made the statement. We are all incredibly proud of her. Every day, she brightens our lives. Held in the ballroom of a hotel, the fundraiser was graced by Pelosi, who expressed her gratitude for the inspiration she provided.

Harris has recently returned from a tour of various swing states with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, where they rallied thousands of people and continued to build on the momentum she has had since becoming the Democratic ticket's front-runner. Joe Biden was helped out of the presidential race by Pelosi, a longtime politician and power broker in Washington. The 81-year-old Biden resigned last month due to internal Democratic Party strife and fears that he would not be able to defeat the former president or finish a second four-year term following a dismal debate performance against Republican Donald Trump.

Concerned Democratic members saw Pelosi's remarks from a televised interview as a green light to ask Biden to stand down, even though the president had previously stated that he was remaining. Pelosi has been critical of Biden's previous campaign but supportive of his accomplishments. She linked the 59-year-old Harris to the achievements of Joe Biden's presidency on August 11.

As far as the problems are concerned, she is knowledgeable. She is well-versed in the plan. "Working with Joe Biden, she has accomplished a tremendous amount," Pelosi remarked. Harris was aware of the excitement, but he warned against being enamoured with it.
While expressing her gratitude to Pelosi for her friendship and support, she warned that they must not "take nothing for granted" during this crucial time. "The energy is undeniable," Harris remarked. "Yes, the crowds are large." In addition to Biden, California Governor Gavin Newsom was present. Newsom was originally considered a possible Democratic successor to Biden but ultimately decided against it.

Harris made her case against Trump by stating that the former president would sign a nationwide ban on abortion into law if he were to return to power, and she warned that California would not be spared. The president has tried to separate himself from Republican attempts to outlaw abortion by stating that the decision should be made by the states themselves.
