August 19 :
A number of well-known personalities, including Mindy Kaling, Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Ana Navarro, and Ana Navarro, have been announced as convention hosts, according to The Hill's reporting based on official sources. The Democratic National Convention is scheduled to begin in Chicago on Monday.

The Hill was informed by organizers on Sunday that each celebrity will host a night of the four-day Chicago conference, assisting viewers in navigating the programs on television and in the event hall.

From Monday night onwards, the hosts will be rotating between Goldwyn, Navarro, Kaling, and Washington. The choices made by the hosts of the entertainment shows were first revealed by CNN. They selected each person based on their track record of endorsing Democratic Party candidates, said the organisers.

Although he played the president on the ABC drama "Scandal," Goldwyn is not only an actor but also an activist for the Democratic Party and a supporter of Hillary Clinton's 2016.

While Kaling has made multiple appearances alongside Vice President Harris, she is most recognized for her work in "The Office" and Disney's "Inside Out." One such appearance was in 2020, when then-Sen. Harris hosted a virtual Hollywood campaign event for Biden's 2020 presidential campaign. A 2019 YouTube video with Kaling and Harris discussing their Indian roots and making masala dosa became viral, as reported by The Hill.

Navarro, a Republican strategist and co-host of ABC's "The View," has become more sympathetic to the Democrats over the past several years, particularly following the political rise of former president Trump, according to a story in The Hill citing Deadline, an American online news source.

In the meantime, Kerry Washington, who was a star on "Scandal," is the brains behind the political activity group "Influence Change." This group's mission is to get famous people involved in civil activism, and Washington headlined the 2020 Democratic National Convention's third night. Prior to the November election, she and former Illinois Republican Adam Kinzinger served as co-chairs of an advisory board for Power the Polls, an organization that aims to recruit poll workers.

The convention will be closed on Thursday with Senator Harris's acceptance speech for the presidential nomination, following President Biden's opening remarks on Monday night.

There will be around 4,000 delegates among the almost 50,000 estimated attendees during the event. "For the People, For Our Future." was the convention's theme. Despite the lack of an official agenda, the Democratic National Convention has verified that Monday will be the day of speeches by President and First Lady Biden.
