On the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago the list of speakers remains strong. As US Presidential Polls get near, US Senator Bernie Sanders vows to back Democratic contender Kamala Harris. Bernie Sanders, an independent senator from Vermont, argued that the election of Kamala Harris was noteworthy by citing the accomplishments of the Biden administration.

At the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, Sanders addressed the COVID-19 pandemic and the government's response to the national crisis.

"That was the reality the Biden-Harris administration faced as they entered the Oval Office: A nation suffering, a nation frightened and people looking to their government for support," he said in a CNN interview. Adding, "within two months of taking office, our government did respond."

"When the political will is there, government can effectively deliver for the people of our country," said Sanders. He insisted on additional goals for the next four years, including taxing the rich and fighting price gouging, both of which Harris has previously stated would be part of her economic program, according to CNN. In addition to raising the minimum wage and teacher salaries, Sanders stated his desire to see them increased.

"The American people want from their government" these things, he continued, and "bottom line, we need an economy that works for all of us, not just the billionaire class."

In addition, Sanders expressed his excitement about collaborating with Kamala and Tim Wald on the agenda's passage.

Remarks by Michelle and Barack Obama, as well as other prominent Democrats, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, and Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth, will be delivered on the second night of the DNC, according to CNN.

Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for the 2018 US Presidential Polls and Vice President, began her speech at the Democratic National Convention on Monday night (local time) in Chicago by thanking President Joe Biden for his leadership to the nation.

The unexpected words were made by Harris at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, and she began by praising President Joe Biden.

Your historic leadership, lifetime of service to our nation, and everything that you will accomplish in the future are all greatly appreciated. Additionally, Harris expressed their eternal gratitude to the donor.

A film shown at Monday's Democratic National Convention also emphasized Harris' Indian mother Shyamala Gopalan's pivotal role in her daughter's upbringing and her Californian heritage. The film featured clips from Harris's boyhood apartment in the East Bay of California.

Donald Harris is an 85-year-old retired economist from Stanford University; Shyamala Gopalan was a breast cancer researcher who died in 2009; and Harris is the daughter of Jamaican and Indian parents.

Harris makes history as the first woman of color and Asian American to lead a major political party's ticket. Following Biden's decision to withdraw from the race and support her, her party rallied behind her. The vice president was formally recognized as the Democratic party nominee earlier last month by a virtual vote.
