Chicago, August 22 :
Bill Clinton, the former president of the United States, spoke at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Wednesday (local time) to endorse Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for president in the next election, and to encourage Americans to choose the "president of joy" for president.

As Clinton told the audience her personal narrative during her convention speech, he added that Harris' presidential candidacy symbolizes the nation.

"We need Kamala Harris, the president of joy, to lead us," said a guy from Hope who had the honor of being summoned to this conference before. To that end, I want to contribute accordingly. "You do yours," he stated during Wednesday night's convention speech.

After leaving office, Clinton emphasized his desire for America to be "more inclusive, more future-focused."

"I want that. It's been a hardship to get up every day and get caught up in empty rhetoric, when there are so many opportunities and problems that need to be addressed. During her address, Clinton made the following statement about the America that Kamala Harris will lead.

The former president also made reference to several incidents, stating that Harris had "fought for kids her whole life" as a prosecutor and that she had "spearheaded the charge for reproductive rights" during her presidency.

Moreover, Clinton referenced Harris's plan to reduce the cost of ownership and solve the problem of affordable housing.

According to CNN's reporting, Harris unveiled her housing proposal last week, which includes tax incentives for builders who construct starter homes for first-time buyers and homeowners up to a USD 25,000 down payment, incentives to establish affordable rental housing, and more.

"She's gained an invaluable amount of experience as vice president advancing our values and interests around the world," said Mr. Trump.

Clinton continued by accusing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump of constantly focusing on himself and going on the offensive.

Kumala Harris possesses the unique combination of vision, experience, temperament, determination, and delight that no other contender in this race possesses, he gushed. Listen, how does her adversary use his voice? What he says is primarily about himself. Hence, the next time you listen to him, instead of counting his falsehoods, count his "I's."

Clinton continued by comparing the former president to a tenor who opens up before performing by repeating, "me, me, me, me, me," as he continued to condemn the president's "vendettas, his vengeance, his complaints, his conspiracies." Every every day under Kamala Harris's presidency will start with "you."

Even though Trump pledged his unwavering support to Kamala Harris, her scathing criticism of him did not stop there.

"Two days ago, I turned 78, the oldest man in my family for four generations," he said, referring to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's elderly age. The one bit of vanity I'd like to boast about is that I'm younger than Donald Trump.

According to CNN, Clinton told the Democratic National Convention that, come November, Americans will have a "clear choice" between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

"In 2024, we gotta pretty clear choice, it seems to me," Clinton announced. "Kamala Harris, for the people, and the other guy, who has proved even more than the first go-around that he's about me, myself and I."

"Kamala Harris will work to solve our problems, seize our opportunities, ease our fears, and make sure every single American, however they vote, has a chance to chase their dreams," said Harris.

It had been exactly one month after the Republicans' convention in Milwaukee had begun when the Democratic National Convention (DNC) got underway in Chicago on Monday. "For the People, For Our Future." is the mantra that will guide the gathering.

A woman of color and Asian American, Harris is making history as the leader of a major political party's ticket. A virtual vote acknowledged the vice president as the Democratic party nominee earlier last month. The party rallied around Hillary once Biden endorsed her and pulled out of the race. When Trump takes office in November, he will be the oldest president in history, surpassing Joe Biden—who was 78 years and 61 days old—and remaining in office for a total of 78 years and 219 days.
