Chicago, August 23 :
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris pledged to fight for the future of America on Friday, accepting the presidential candidacy of the Democratic Party. This is my speech on behalf of all Americans, regardless of their party, race, gender, or the language your grandma speaks. It is also my mother's and everyone else's wish for all Americans to remember the people I grew up with—those who work hard, dream big, and support one another—and to celebrate the fact that our nation is the best place on Earth for their stories. To thunderous acclaim from the crowd, Harris accepted the nomination for president.

President Joe Biden of the United States stated in July that he is retiring from the race for president, and Harris quickly joined the race.

At the age of59, Harris would make history if she were to become the first female president of the United States. Only two women in history have ever been nominated for president by a major political party; the vice president is the second of these.

When asked about the significance of the election, Harris responded, "not only the most important in our lives but the most importatnt in the life of our nation." His remarks came on the last night of the Democratic National Convention.

More than that, she warned of "serious consequences" that would ensue from re-electing "unserious man" Donald Trump.

An "opportunity economy where everybody will have a chance to compete and succeed" was one of her campaign promises, along with an end to the housing scarcity in the United States.

Harris praised her mother, who came to the United States from India, and recounted her childhood, in which her parents uprooted for different occupations, highlighting the values they inculcated in her.

With the next elections just around the corner, Haris said, the nation had a "fleeting opportunity" to "move past the bitterness, cynicism and divisive battles of the past."

"Harrison said," she stated. Finally, an opportunity to plot a fresh course of action. "As Americans," rather than "as members of a particular party or group," Your nomination of me to the office of president of the USA is fully accepted. The election is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for our country to forge a fresh path forward, away from the resentment, cynicism, and polarizing conflicts of yesteryear.

To serve as president for all citizens is my solemn vow. At Chicago's United Center, Harris, 59, assured the throng, "You can always trust me to put country above party and self. I will hold sacred America's fundamental principles, from the rule of law to free and fair elections to the peaceful transfer of power." As he spoke, he addressed the crowd. Actress Kerry Washington had earlier brought two of Harris' grandnieces onto the stage to clarify the conventiongoers' pronunciation of her first name. Under their command, the audience erupted in cries of "comma" and "la."
