Harris and Walz to Take Democratic Campaign on Bus Tour Through Georgia Next Week
August 26 :
To rally support in a state that will play a significant role in the upcoming November 5 election, Democratic presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will be taking a bus tour through Georgia next week. On August 22 in Chicago, Lieutenant Governor Walz of Minnesota formally accepted the nomination as running mate, while Vice President Harris formally accepted the Democratic candidacy for president.
The two will be campaigning together in Georgia for the first time on August 28 on a bus tour in the state's southern region. The journey, according to Harris's team, would end with a rally in the Savannah region with the vice president. Prior to the gathering, Walz will leave the state.
Earlier this month, at a rally in Atlanta, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump slammed Republican Georgia governor Brian Kemp. Two days later, the trip was announced, and Trump attempted to quash the dispute. In a social media message, the former president expressed gratitude to Kemp for endorsing Trump on August 23. Harris and Trump are in a tight fight, according to the polls, and Georgia is one of seven states that might decide the winner.
