Four Indian Nationals Killed in Fiery Multi-Car Crash in Anna City, Texas
September 5 :
Tragically, four Indian nationals lost their lives on August 30th in Anna City, Texas, when the SUV they were riding in caught fire after being involved in a multi-car accident. A speeding truck collided with an SUV, killing all three people inside when the car caught fire and imprisoned them. Five vehicles were involved in the tragic collision.
Aryan Raghunath Orampati, Farooq Shaik, Lokesh Palacharla, and Darshini Vasudevan were among the dead; they were using a carpooling app to travel to Bentonville, Arkansas. The ferocity of the flames rendered all four of them unrecognizable.
To verify the victims' identities, authorities are currently depending on DNA fingerprinting, which uses tooth and bone remains. "DNA fingerprinting will be done to identify the bodies, and the samples will be matched with the parents," according to a local official.
Bentonville resident Aryan Raghunath Orampati was going home following a visit to his cousin in Dallas. Orampati was originally from Hyderabad. After meeting Aryan's cousin, Farooq Shaik, who also lived in Bentonville, joined him on his journey. On his way to Bentonville, Lokesh Palacharla, a resident of Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari, would meet his wife. Darshini Vasudevan was visiting her uncle in Bentonville from Frisco, Texas. She had recently earned a Master's degree from the University of Texas in Arlington.
The parents of Darshini Vasudevan have requested help from S. Jaishankar, India's Minister of External Affairs. It has been several days since we have known our daughter's status, and as worried parents, we are genuinely concerned, her father stated. There were three further casualties in the collision. Unfortunately, the identification procedure has been delayed due to an extended holiday weekend in the US, which has further added to the suffering of the victims' relatives.
