Indian Diaspora Excited to Welcome Prime Minister Modi Ahead of U.S. Visit
New Jersey, September 20 :
Members of the Indian diaspora were filled with enthusiasm and anticipation as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was about to begin his visit to the United States on Saturday. People of all ages in the Indian diaspora have spoken out about how much they are looking forward to the prime minister's visit and how much they admire his leadership in India.
An American Indian named Prakash Shantilal Patel expressed his enthusiasm for meeting the dignitary in an interview with ANI. Our anticipation is understandable given that Prime Minister Modi is both a highly regarded national leader and a household name around the globe. The Gujarati community is expecting anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000 people to see him. We intend to speak with him whenever the opportunity presents itself.
"I am extremely thrilled to see PM Modi and I cannot wait to meet him," expressed Arav Verma, a child from the Indian diaspora. The nation benefited greatly from his many acts of kindness. I rank him among the all-time great leaders.
India's prime minister, Narendra Modi, will be in the US from September 21–23 to attend the Quad Summit and give a speech at the UN General Assembly's 'Summit of the Future' in New York.
Meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York is an occasion that the Indian diaspora is eagerly anticipating as well. The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, which can hold 15,000 people, will host his community event on September 22. More than 24,000 Indian-Americans have already registered to attend. The Indian-American community is rich in diversity and achievement, and this event, "Modi & US: Progress Together," will honor that diversity and accomplishment with cultural performances and appearances by notable Indian-Americans.
"Namaste Modi Ji," Madhulika said, welcome Prime Minister Modi. We are incredibly grateful for all that you have done on behalf of the people of India, and we extend a very warm welcome to you in the United States and New York City. To say that we are incredibly proud of him from a distance would be an understatement. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done; I will be sure to pass the word along to my children, grandchildren, and friends about what an incredible leader you are.
Described Prime Minister Modi as her "favourite leader," Vidhi, who now resides in the United States, expressed her excitement at meeting with Modi. My family and I will be traveling to the Long Islands so that I can meet him; he is, without a doubt, the most inspiring leader I have ever encountered.
"I am very excited that PM Modi is coming," Soni Chowdhary said. Among the great and courageous leaders I have ever encountered, he stands out. His oratory skills are second to none, and his delivery in particular inspires the younger generation, something that was absent from the previous prime ministers because the older age was more loyal to them. We are thrilled, though, because even young people are smitten with Prime Minister Modi now.
Meanwhile, Amit Pandey and Rajesh Sharma, who are gearing up to attend the "Modi & US: Progress Together" event on September 22, also voiced their enthusiasm for Prime Minister Modi's visit.
With US President Joe Biden hosting the fourth Quad Leaders' Summit in Wilmington, Delaware on September 21, Prime Minister Modi will participate in the event during his visit.
On Thursday, India's foreign secretary Vikram Misri stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will get the chance to express his gratitude to Presidents Joe Biden of the United States and Fumio Kishida of Japan for their leadership during the Quad event.
In a press conference regarding PM Modi's trip to New New York, Misri pointed out, "...This is also going to be kind of a farewell event in so far as the Quad is concerned for President Biden and Prime Minister Kishida of Japan, and therefore, the Quad event provides the Prime Minister with an opportunity to thank both leaders for their leadership in giving momentum and salience to the Quad partnership." The United States of America, Australia, India, and Japan form a diplomatic alliance known as Quad.
