Indian Ambassador Vinay Kwatra Expresses Optimism for Strengthening India-US Strategic Partnership

After presenting his credentials to President Joe Biden on September 18, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, India's newly appointed ambassador to the US and a former foreign secretary, conveyed his gratitude. The post by Kwatra on X read, "Honoured to present my credentials to US President Joe Biden as Ambassador of India to the United States on September 18."
He further stated, "Look forward to further strengthening the India-US Strategic Partnership."
It is worth mentioning that on August 13, Kwatra became the Indian ambassador to the US.
The BJP politician and former Indian ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, is succeeded by Kwatra.
The honor of serving as India's ambassador to the USA is a great privilege. In a post on X, Kwatra had stated that the team of the Indian Embassy in the US will keep working hard to strengthen this important collaboration.
After ten years of invaluable service to India's foreign policy and national security, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said goodbye to Foreign Secretary Kwatra on July 14. Jaishankar had complimented Kwatra on his strategic ability when it came to formulating and carrying out important policies while he was in office. Before her current position, Kwatra was a joint secretary in the prime minister's office and the ministry of foreign affairs.
From May 2010 through July 2013, Kwatra was also the Minister of Commerce in the Indian Embassy in Washington, DC. Kwatra oversaw India's ties with the US and Canada as head of the Americas Division at the Foreign Ministry from July 2013 to October 2015. Prior to that, he was in charge of the Policy Planning and Research Division of the Ministry of External Affairs. Kwatra has held various posts in a number of Indian embassies and consulates around the world. Over the course of roughly 32 years, Kwatra has worked in a variety of roles.
