September 29 :
A campaign spokesman for U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris announced on September 29 that two events this past weekend raised $55 million for her campaign. According to an anonymous source, the Democratic candidate and current US vice president managed to raise $27 million during a fundraising event held at San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts on September 28. The event featured a performance by Andra Day, a speech by former House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and other non-public details.

An event in downtown Los Angeles with Alanis Morissette and Halle Bailey was subsequently funded by Harris, who raised $28 million. Keegan-Michael Key, Demi Lovato, Sterling K. Brown, Jessica Alba, Lily Tomlin, and Stevie Wonder were all seen at the event. Harris framed the election as an existential threat and emphasized her economic plans during the gatherings, where she identified as a capitalist. Even though she was the underdog in the race with only a few weeks left, she assured funders that she would win nevertheless.

While her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, raised $130 million in August, Harris's presidential campaign and the Democratic Party amassed $361 million, giving her a significant financial edge. A little over 30 days before the presidential election on November 5th, the two contenders were still neck and neck. Harris had a 47–40 edge against Trump in a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll, however other surveys indicated a closer race.
