Washington DC, October 1:
Following Israel's recent attacks on Yemen, US President Joe Biden spoke with both sides and reaffirmed the administration's commitment to "supporting the collective bargaining effort." During Monday's White House press briefing, Biden made the comments.

"Spoke with both sides at the outset of the strike," Biden remarked in response to a question regarding the recent strikes in Yemen. In this collective bargaining process, we fully back you. I believe they will resolve the strike.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out airstrikes against military installations in Yemen, namely those under the control of the Houthi group, including a port and power plants.

According to a post shared by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) on X on September 29, "The IAF struck military targets belonging to the Houthi terrorist regime in Yemen in response to their recent attacks against Israel."

According to it, "The targets included power plants and a seaport, which were used by the Houthis to transfer Iranian weapons to the region, in addition to military supplies and oil."

Adding to the growing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, Biden denied on Monday any intention of sending additional US soldiers to the Middle East.

In response to a question about whether he would deploy additional soldiers in light of the rising bloodshed between Israeli and Hezbollah forces, Biden flatly stated "no" during the news conference.

The Pentagon's announcement of plans to increase military presence in the Middle East on September 29 was particularly noteworthy.

"Our preparedness to respond to various contingencies has been elevated as the Secretary, Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, has also increased the readiness of additional US forces to deploy," the Pentagon press secretary said. To further guarantee the safety of American forces stationed in the Middle East, the Department of Defense keeps its air-defence capabilities strong and well-integrated.

A meeting between the president and Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, has been officially confirmed. "Yes," he said. I will inform you of my conversational outcome with him once I have spoken with him.
