Elon Musk to Join Trump Rally in Pennsylvania at Location of July Assassination Attempt
October 5 :
Trump will be returning to the town where he escaped an assassination attempt in July, and Elon Musk announced late on October 3 that he will be attending a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania later this week. "I will be there to support!" Musk responded to Trump's social media post on October 5th, in which Trump announced his return to Butler.
After Republican presidential candidate Trump escaped an assassination attempt in Butler on July 13, he formally endorsed him and referred to him as "tough"; this marked Musk's transition to right-wing politics. Musk is the CEO of Tesla and owner of X. The site where a shooter shot and killed one protester and grazed Trump's right ear will once again be the site of the rally on October 5. A Secret Service sniper shot and killed the gunman, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Crooks.
In September, the ex-president narrowly escaped a second assassination attempt at one of his Florida clubs, where a gunman concealed for nearly twelve hours. In a presidential election that polls indicate is very close, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris will face off against Trump on November 5.
