Karine Jean-Pierre Elevated to Senior Adviser Role from White House Press Secretary
Washington DC, October 8 :
On Monday, the president's administration announced that Karine Jean-Pierre, who had been serving as press secretary, had been upgraded to the position of senior adviser.
Since day one, Karrine has been a reliable counsel to the president and everyone here at the white house. The president's chief of staff, Jeff Zients, stated that her advice will be essential in order to do the most for the American people in the upcoming months.
Adding, "will be critical to get as much done as possible for the American people in the coming months," Zients stated that Jean-Pierre's counsel and assistance are essential.
In 2022, Jean-Pierre became the first Black woman and the first openly gay person to hold the position of press secretary, a remarkable accomplishment.
Pierre denounces the "heinous" attack on Israel by Hamas on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of October 7th, while speaking at the White House press conference on Tuesday (local time).
"Hamas carried out a horrific strike against Israel on October 7th, one year ago. She went on to say that on a day that was meant to be a joyful Jewish celebration filled with song and dance, terrorists from Hamas crossed into Israel and slaughtered over 1,200 innocent people, including 46 Americans, at a music festival.
They sexually assaulted each other in a horrifying way. "These terrorists often documented their horrific acts of violence and murder, which is terrifying because it shows the world the unspeakable atrocities they did," she continued.
In May 2022, she succeeded Jen Psaki as the chief spokesman for the Biden administration, following Psaki's departure to join for a television network. In addition to his time as Biden's deputy assistant and principal deputy press secretary, Jean-Pierre has extensive experience in the White House. While Kamala Harris was running for vice president in 2020, she served as chief of staff for the former senator.
The 50-year-old Jean-Pierre will start her new position right now. She will continue to serve as press secretary until Biden's presidency ends; this makes her the only press secretary in decades to simultaneously hold the position of senior adviser.
