President Herzog Praises U.S. President Biden as a "True Friend of Israel" for Strong Support Amid Ongoing War

In a phone call to express his condolences on the eve of the one-year anniversary of the October 7th attack by Hamas on Israel, Israeli President Isaac Herzog thanked US President Joe Biden. For their unwavering support of Israel since the war broke out, President Herzog and Vice President Biden expressed their gratitude in a post on X.

On this, the one-year anniversary of the horrific events of October 7th, I would like to express my gratitude to US President @JoeBiden, a genuine friend of the State of Israel, for contacting me to convey his sympathies to the Israeli people. The president's thoughts and prayers are with the families of the hostages, the fatalities, and the injured from that tragic day's Hamas terror act, as President Biden made clear. His passion for Israel and Zionism is real and profound, President Herzog stated, adding that the crimes perpetrated by Hamas highlight the serious threat Iran and its regional allies face. For their unwavering backing of the State of Israel since the war's inception, I am grateful to President Biden and the US government. "I thanked him from the bottom of my heart and told him that the Israelites will never forget this," he continued.

On the one-year anniversary of the October 7 tragedy, many ambassadors remembered the victims and mourned.

Since Israel has not been held "accountable" for its activities, tensions in the region have escalated, according to Lebanon's ambassador Rabie Narsh. Narsh added that his country does not want the war to expand throughout the region.
